Drivers are prohibited from racing either full time or as a reserve in all divisions outside what their license level allows them to. (E.g. A license 1 holder cannot race in D2 or below.)
Define eligibility, contracts, attendance and movement for full-time and reserve seats.
Drivers are prohibited from racing either full time or as a reserve in all divisions outside what their license level allows them to. (E.g. A license 1 holder cannot race in D2 or below.)
The hierarchy of Divisions is as follows.
Division 0, Division 1, Division 2, Division 3, Division 4
Only designated reserve drivers can drive for multiple teams. If you are a full-time driver in one division who is reserving in a higher up division, you can only race for the same team for which you are full time with. Instances where this rule is broken will result in penalty points and/or disqualification from the race.
Every full-time driver is bound by a contract with their Team Principal. Breaking the contract by leaving or firing a driver without meeting the required criteria will result in either a two-race ban for the driver or the team receiving no BOTT points from that seat for two races.
If a driver is missing a race, they must check out of the race. This should be done at least 1 hour before the race. Missing 2 races opens you up to being fired by your Team Principal.
Reserves can only reserve in divisions that are covered by their license level. Any points they score will be recorded and added to their total in the drivers’ standings. Points scored by reserves contribute to the constructors’ championship and battle of the teams.
If you are reserving, do not pick a team when joining the lobby, unless a team principal has announced you as a reserve for their team. You will be told which teams you can pick after all full-time drivers have entered the lobby.
Full-time drivers can only reserve for their team in other divisions, only general reserves can race for any team.
If you lose your full-time seat, the points you have scored for your team will stay in the WCC/BOTT, and you will still be on the WDC standings.
Drivers may change their full-time division ONCE during the season. Any division change forced due to a change in their license level is not counted. If a driver moves teams, they can choose a different full-time division even if they have moved divisions previously.
In case of any dispute about contracts, the decision of the league is final and binding.
