Terms of Service

Acceptance

These Terms of Service govern your use of the R2–D2 Discord application, its commands, and the International Motorsport Series website at ims-league.com (collectively, the Service). The Service is operated for IMS League by the IMS bot maintainers (IMS, we, us, or our).

By installing, authorising, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What the Service does

R2–D2 provides IMS league operations, racing statistics, historical records, standings, results, profiles, comparisons, polls, and related community tools. The website lets users browse those records as a guest or connect a Discord account to open a personalised view.

Some commands and administrative tools are restricted by Discord server, role, or user permissions. Access to one part of the Service does not grant access to restricted functions.

Eligibility and Discord

You must be permitted to use Discord under Discord's own terms and meet the minimum age required in your country. Your use of Discord remains subject to the Discord Terms of Service and Discord Community Guidelines. Discord is a separate service that we do not control.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service to break any law or another person's rights;
• disrupt, overload, probe, reverse engineer, bypass, or interfere with the Service or its access controls;
• misuse commands, automated requests, polls, statistics, or administrative workflows;
• impersonate another person, submit knowingly false information, or attempt to access another user's personalised view; or
• use data from the Service for harassment, doxxing, spam, or unauthorised commercial exploitation.

IMS server rules and sporting regulations also continue to apply.

Accounts and security

Discord sign-in is optional for the website. If you connect your account, you are responsible for keeping your Discord account secure and for activity carried out through it. Tell an IMS administrator promptly if you believe your access has been compromised. You can end the website session by signing out.

League records and decisions

We aim to present IMS records accurately, but data may be incomplete, delayed, corrected, or affected by technical errors. The Service is an information and operations tool; official stewarding decisions, sporting rules, published results, and administrator rulings take precedence over any display, calculation, projection, or summary in R2–D2.

Content and intellectual property

IMS retains its rights in original league data, branding, software, layouts, and materials. Users retain rights in content they provide, but grant IMS the limited permission needed to process and display it for league operations and the requested Service function.

Discord names and marks belong to Discord. R2-D2 and related names and marks belong to Lucasfilm and its owners. This is a community service and is not sponsored by or affiliated with Discord, Lucasfilm, or The Walt Disney Company.

Availability and changes

The Service is provided on an as-available basis. We may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any feature, and may correct or remove data, without guaranteeing uninterrupted availability. We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect the Service, IMS, Discord users, or the community.

Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. IMS and the bot maintainers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Nothing in these terms excludes a right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the Service or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
