Setting up for this circuit
Baku combines very long full-throttle running with tight, low-speed corners. Lower drag is useful only if the car remains stable enough to brake close to the walls and accelerate cleanly from the square turns.
- Check straight-line braking at Turns 1 and 3 before trading rear support away.
- Use the castle section to assess placement and kerb response, with the same line on each run.
- Include the final slow-corner exit in your speed comparison; wheelspin follows you onto the long run home.
Qualifying adjustments
Keep brake pressure changes conditional on clean braking runs; wall-lined entries give little room to rescue a lock-up.
