Setting up for this circuit
The Hungaroring links many of its corners closely, giving a small placement error consequences at the next turn. Choose enough front response to maintain the sequence, with a rear end that tolerates the chicane and slow exits.
- Compare the flowing middle sector as a sequence rather than isolated apex speeds.
- Check whether kerb contact at the chicane unsettles the car before changing its aero balance.
- Use the last two long corners to judge whether front grip holds as the steering stays applied.
Qualifying adjustments
Look for repeatable low-fuel rotation through the middle sector; a quicker first turn into a sequence is unhelpful if it puts you off line for the next.
