Setting up for this circuit
Suzuka rewards a connected lap through the esses, followed by control through longer corners such as Spoon. Choose a front end that follows the sequence without leaving the rear behind when you reverse the steering.
- Compare the complete esses sequence rather than only the first change of direction.
- Check both parts of Spoon and the exit onto the back straight.
- Separate hairpin traction from high-speed confidence through 130R when deciding what needs adjustment.
Qualifying adjustments
Use low-fuel runs to check whether a sharper front improves the esses while leaving Spoon and 130R predictable.
