Setting up for this circuit
COTA pulls the setup in several directions: the opening esses need a responsive front, the back straight rewards efficiency, and the slow final sector needs traction. Compare the same package across all three before choosing your compromise.
- Use the first-sector esses to judge how well the car changes direction without losing its rhythm.
- Check the Turn 11 exit as part of the back-straight comparison.
- Keep the long right-hand sequence late in the lap in your review; a nervous rear can need repeated correction.
Qualifying adjustments
Check whether extra low-fuel rotation helps the esses and final sector without costing the clean Turn 11 exit onto the back straight.
