Scheepers90 climbed from sixth on the Baku E2 grid to finish third and secure a first IMS podium for McLaren. Quenooo29 won from fourth, with Murts9691 second for Ferrari.
The three-place gain gave McLaren first and third. Quenooo's victory and Scheepers' breakthrough formed two of the team's three podiums across the full Baku round.
McLaren stretches the E2 lead
McLaren moved to 131 points in the E2 constructors' standings, 49 ahead of Ferrari on 82. The team had entered Baku 22 ahead, so the round added 27 points to its protection.
Quenooo also raised the drivers' lead to 46 points over Murts. Scheepers' first podium strengthened the team table while the other McLaren driver widened the individual one.
One hundred and forty-one BOTT points
McLaren finished third in the overall round table with 141 points, one win, three podiums and four top-five finishes from ten starts. The E2 double supplied the win and two-thirds of the podium count.
Brazil followed with Scheepers added to the podium list and McLaren holding a wider E2 margin. Baku had paired a new personal milestone with an established team advantage rather neatly.
