TheMDog won the Azerbaijan D3 race for Ferrari after moving from second on the grid to first.
Quenooo29 climbed from sixth to second and added 24 championship points. The Aston Martin driver led the standings on 171, 48 ahead of OnlineGuy99 on 123.
Runner-up carries a larger lead
Quenooo's championship lead had been 29 points after Qatar. OnlineGuy added five in Azerbaijan; quenooo added 24. The difference widened by 19 despite the leader not winning the race.
McBeth655 completed the podium for Red Bull after gaining one place from fourth. Across the top three, quenooo's four-place climb was the largest.
Nineteen points added to the margin
The title gap expanded from 29 to 48 because quenooo outscored OnlineGuy by 19. Runner-up in the race was enough to make first place in the standings considerably safer.
TheMDog owned the result, quenooo owned the season arithmetic. Azerbaijan made room for both without recycling one achievement as the other.
