Ferrari outscored Williams by 159 points to 146 in Azerbaijan, winning the BOTT round by 13.

Williams nevertheless left Round 8 first in the season standings on 1,153 points. Ferrari was second on 807, leaving a 346-point advantage.

Thirteen points recovered; 346 still required

The gap entering Azerbaijan was 359. Ferrari's superior round reduced it by 13, exactly matching the difference between the teams' weekend scores. The arithmetic confirms improvement without overselling its scale.

Ferrari's three wins, five podiums and seven top fives were enough to lead the round. Williams answered with two wins, four podiums and five top fives, limiting the loss to those 13 points.

A round loss that leaves the order untouched

Ferrari remained second in BOTT on 807 points, with Williams first on 1,153. The challenger won the exchange; the leader retained nearly three and a half hundred points of separation.

Azerbaijan offered Ferrari the better weekend and Williams the better season position. Both statements can coexist; the 346-point remainder is the reason they must.
