Piastrigoat won the Azerbaijan D0 race from pole for Ferrari, claiming a first IMS victory since Season 4 Round 8.
The return delivered 31 points and placed Piastrigoat second in the D0 standings on 102, behind Cloud on 197.
No recovery required, only conversion
Unlike the long arc between victories, the Azerbaijan route was short: first on the grid, first at the finish. Demaiko retained second from second for Williams, while xAQxFr climbed from sixth to third in the other Ferrari.
That second Ferrari podium gave the comeback a team frame without stealing its subject. XAQxFr supplied the three-place recovery; Piastrigoat supplied the win that reconnected Season 7 with a personal result last recorded in Season 4.
A return is not the same as a title takeover
Cloud still led by 95 points after Azerbaijan. Piastrigoat's victory changed the identity of the nearest challenger and restored a name to the winners' list; it did not make the deficit politely disappear.
That is why the return deserves its own article rather than another paragraph about the gap. Championships measure accumulation. This result measured the distance between two victories—and closed it at the first corner of the classification: P1.
