Emdiska HD finished third from fourth on the grid at Spa and claimed a first IMS podium for Aston Martin. Jonno won from P3; pole-sitter piastrigoat finished second.
Websey retained the D1 championship lead on 57 points, but Jonno closed to 51. Red Bull led Ferrari by five in the constructors' table despite placing no driver on Spa's D1 podium.
A modest gain becomes a career first
Emdiska gained one position, the smallest movement among the podium trio. Career landmarks do not require theatrical arithmetic: P4 to P3 was enough to put the Aston Martin driver on an IMS podium for the first time.
The result also broadened a D1 podium that contained Mercedes, VCARB and Aston Martin. Red Bull remained the leading constructor through accumulated points, another reminder that one round's top three and the season table answer different questions.
Six points frame the next round
Jonno's win made him Websey's nearest challenger before Zandvoort-R. Emdiska's breakthrough sat outside that rivalry, useful precisely because it gave the classification another subject rather than forcing every podium into the title plot.
Spa's D1 story could therefore hold two truths at once: the championship gap contracted, and a driver reached the podium for the first time. Neither needed to be repeated as the other.
