xAQxFr won the Azerbaijan D2 race from pole for Ferrari, collecting 32 points in the division result.
Ferrari team-mate Walter9500 finished third and moved to 118 championship points. Webbah87 remained first on 123, leaving a five-point gap.
Ferrari attacks from first and third
John Marco split the Ferraris by climbing from fourth to second for McLaren. Walter slipped one place from the grid, but his 19 points still reduced Webbah's lead from 11 points to five.
That distinction corrects the easy but wrong reading of the result: xAQxFr won the race; Walter was the Ferrari driver who left as the championship leader's nearest challenger.
Five points survive between first and second
Webbah added 13 points and Walter 19, cutting the championship difference by six. The five-point remainder ensured Azerbaijan tightened the contest without changing its leader.
Azerbaijan gave Ferrari the trophy and increased the pressure on Webbah without pretending the same driver achieved both. Two red cars, two different jobs, one five-point title margin.
