CapnBlkbrn81 claimed a first IMS podium by finishing second in Miami’s D2 race. The Ferrari driver started P5, gained three places and scored 24 points.

Quenooo29 won from P4, 4.632 seconds ahead. HPJones finished third from P6, only 0.477 seconds behind Capn in the recorded times.

A first podium inside a compact chasing pair

Capn and HPJones each gained three places and remained adjacent from grid to finish. Their gap at the line gave the new podium finisher little room, even though the result preserved the same order between them.

The 24 points did not create the championship lead; that moved to xAQxFr elsewhere in the result. Capn’s story is narrower and more personal: a first top-three finish earned by progressing from the fifth grid slot.

Second place without borrowed significance

Miami already contained a fifth career win and a championship lead change. Capn’s first podium deserves its own scale rather than either borrowed frame: P5, P2, three places gained, 24 points.

The Ferrari driver left Miami with a first IMS trophy and a place in a three-car recovery pattern. That is enough substance without retelling the winner’s or leader’s article.
