Crowned at the Brazil season finale.

FTR Button won Brazil's D2 race from pole, but HPJones finished third from P5 and ended Season 4 first on 168 points. FTR's 27-point victory lifted the total to 150, leaving an 18-point final gap.

Ttvwuwumx split them with a P14-to-P2 recovery for Mercedes. The podium therefore contained the race winner, the season winner and the deepest climb, three achievements belonging to three different drivers.

Victory changes second place, not first

FTR arrived third in the standings on 123 and left second on 150. HP's 17 points moved the leader from 151 to 168, enough to withstand the ten-point gain FTR made relative to HP in the finale.

That conclusion followed two late reversals. HP led after Spain, CONNOROCE after China, and HP again after Silverstone-R. Brazil changed the nearest challenger rather than the leader, with FTR's win carrying the Ferrari driver past CONNOROCE into second.

Four rounds, three different threats

The progression module tracks HP against the nearest rival: CONNOROCE for Rounds 9 through 11, then FTR at the finish. It preserves the changing shape of the challenge instead of pretending one two-driver duel explains the entire closing run.

Race and season thus separated at Brazil. FTR owned the win and the final move to second. HP owned the points accumulated across the changing opposition, with third place enough to keep first by 18.
