Sintium turned a third-place start into a first IMS victory at Monza. Wadz51 finished second from P2 for Ferrari, while HPJones moved from fourth to third for McLaren.

The win did more than settle the second E1 race. Sintium left on 64 points, 31 ahead of Jonno, establishing the first substantial gap at the front of the new season.

One round changes the scale of the contest

Sintium's Monza result added a first victory to the record and breathing room to the table at the same time. Sixty-four points against 33 gave the breakthrough immediate championship scale.

Alpine reinforced the individual gain in the constructors' standings, reaching 89 points and opening a 43-point advantage over Ferrari. The first two E1 weekends had both produced major Alpine returns.

Breakthrough and benchmark in one afternoon

Winning from third also distinguished Sintium's route from the pole conversions elsewhere at Monza. The result was a measured positional gain with an outsized effect on the young championship.

Singapore came next with Sintium no longer merely sharing first place. The first IMS win had made the Alpine driver the sole E1 reference—and handed every rival a 31-point target.
