NesbiLeGrand won Mexico's D3 race from fourth and zoolander83 climbed from seventh to second, completing a Ferrari one-two. OnlineGuy99 finished third for Williams from P5.

Ferrari's combined result moved the team to 257 points in the D3 constructors' standings, 140 ahead of Williams. The five-round margin was larger than Williams' entire total.

Two recoveries build one overwhelming total

Nesbi gained three places and zoolander83 five. Ferrari did not simply defend the first row; both cars travelled forward to occupy the first two positions.

Nesbi also led the drivers' standings on 144 points, 49 ahead of OnlineGuy99. Mexico therefore strengthened Ferrari's D3 position at both individual and team level.

The championship starts to separate

A 140-point constructors' lead at five rounds placed the burden squarely on the chasing teams. They needed not one better result, but a sustained reversal of Ferrari's two-car scoring.

Silverstone would provide the next test. Mexico had left the standard brutally clear: Ferrari could start fourth and seventh, yet still finish first and second.
