Kinay converted D2 pole into a first IMS victory at Silverstone. Z4yF1 advanced from third to second for Red Bull, with Kangaroo1205 third from fourth for Alpine.
The championship leader was absent from the recorded podium. Aban-96- remained first on 84 points, 19 ahead of LimitlessDraco3 on 65.
A new winner enters an existing contest
Kinay's result did not need a championship lead to carry weight. Pole became P1, and the driver joined the IMS winners' list in a division whose points battle continued elsewhere.
Williams still led the D2 constructors on 141 points, 24 ahead of Ferrari. Kick Sauber's race victory therefore cut across both established championship orders without replacing them.
Pole converted, hierarchy complicated
Silverstone gave D2 a straightforward winner's route and a less straightforward season picture. Kinay controlled the recorded endpoints; Aban carried the larger points total onward.
Brazil would begin with Kinay as the latest winner and Aban as the driver 19 points clear. Both facts mattered, and neither cancelled the other.
