Jonno won Silverstone's E1 race from third for Williams, but runner-up Triske043 took the championship lead. The Haas driver finished second from pole and reached 100 points.

Sintium sat only two points behind on 98. PolyTromp completed the Silverstone podium for Mercedes after climbing from sixth to third.

The smallest lead is still a lead

Triske did not convert pole, yet P2 produced the championship's most important positional change. A two-point margin was enough to install a new leader with five rounds remaining.

Alpine retained the constructors' lead on 154 points, 27 ahead of Williams. Triske's personal move therefore did not carry Haas to the parallel team summit.

Brazil receives a two-point contest

At two points, the advantage was effectively one result waiting to happen. Triske had control of the table, but not the luxury of a defensive weekend.

Jonno supplied Silverstone's winner. Triske supplied its title shift. The result mattered because those two achievements belonged to different drivers on the same podium.
