Demaiko finished third in the Silverstone D1 race to claim a first IMS podium for Williams.

Kevin_Zunneberg converted pole into victory for McLaren, with Jonno climbing from P4 to finish second in the other Williams.

Third place supplies the personal first

Demaiko started and finished third. Unlike the movement around the podium, the breakthrough came from protecting a top-three grid position through the classification.

Jonno's second place moved the Williams driver to 80 championship points, exactly level with Meowsy. Jonno is listed first on countback.

One podium, two separate Williams gains

Jonno's result produced the title tie; demaiko's produced the first podium. The team leaves with two achievements from adjacent finishing positions rather than one repeated headline.

Silverstone therefore gives demaiko a permanent personal marker and D1 a temporary absence of daylight: third place is a first, while first place in the standings is decided only by order at 80-80.
