Aston Martin took the E2 constructors' lead after Brazil, reaching 179 points and moving 34 clear of VCARB. Schokolade supplied the team's recorded podium with third place from P6.
Jamie1547 won for Haas and HackoDK finished second for Kick Sauber. Aston Martin therefore changed the championship order without winning the race.
Third place completes a larger accumulation
Schokolade's three-place gain was not the weekend's flashiest result, but it attached a fresh podium to the points already accumulated across seven rounds. That was enough for first place in the team table.
The drivers' contest still belonged to Rizla, 35 ahead of BBLDRiZZY6523. E2 now had different names leading its driver and constructor championships.
A 34-point cushion changes the team race
The advantage gave Aston Martin room but not finality with four rounds remaining. Las Vegas would test whether the takeover could be defended.
Brazil's E2 winner wore Haas colours; its new championship leader was Aston Martin. The distinction is exactly why the team table deserved its own story.
