Aardvark won Australia E3 from pole for VCARB, while team-mate Elias_endale finished third from P2 and left the round first in the standings on 132 points. NesbiLeGrand sat one point behind on 131.
Tullo_Formula1 climbed from P5 to second for Williams, returning to the podium after 14 starts. The classification separated the VCARB pair, but both results contributed to the title reshuffle.
Pole wins, P5 splits the VCARBs
Aardvark held P1, Tullo gained three places and Elias lost one. The finishing order therefore put a Williams recovery between the two VCARB drivers without denying either a major consequence.
Aardvark took 29 points out of Nesbi's prior advantage through the win. Elias, however, accumulated the larger season total and became the official leader by one.
The winner is not the new leader
Australia E3 reads differently in its two tables. Aardvark appears first in the race order. Elias appears first in the championship order. Nesbi sits between the VCARB pair in points despite appearing outside the retained podium.
The result created the narrowest kind of championship lead: 132 to 131. VCARB owned the race win and the new leader, but those honours belonged to different drivers.
