Ferrari left Monza first in BOTT on 1154 points, one ahead of VCARB and 43 ahead of McLaren. The team had entered the round 31 behind VCARB, so its 132-point score produced the lead reversal.

Aston Martin won the Monza team round on 152, Ferrari finished second on 132 and McLaren third on 110. The season lead changed even though the new leader did not lead the weekend.

The round winner sits outside the top three

Aston Martin's two wins and four podiums made it the best Monza scorer, but the cumulative top three remained Ferrari, VCARB and McLaren. Weekly strength and season position belonged to different groups.

Ferrari's 132 added to 1022 after China, while VCARB added 100 to 1053. That 32-point difference converted 31 behind into one ahead.

Three teams fit inside forty-three points

McLaren's 1111 kept the third team close enough that the title picture could not be described as a two-team contest. One point covered first and second; 43 covered first through third.

Monza's contribution was compression, not a benchmark. Aston Martin owned the round, Ferrari took the season lead by one and McLaren remained within a single strong weekend of both.
