Two victories supported by four more top fives

Aston Martin's two wins account for half its podiums. Two additional podiums and two further top-five finishes supplied the depth behind them.

Ferrari nevertheless leaves Monza first in the season standings on 1,154 points, one ahead of VCARB. McLaren sits third on 1,111.

The weekend winner sits outside the season top three

Aston Martin's 152 does not place the team in the listed BOTT top three. It instead demonstrates how the round and season tables can reward different forms of success.

Monza gives Aston Martin the strongest weekend while Ferrari and VCARB leave separated by one point overall. The team story is therefore both a win and an intrusion into somebody else's title fight.
