Abu Dhabi's winners survived the FIA. The weekend underneath them did not.
The original verdicts moved 18 finishing positions and transferred 21 championship points across four divisions. Lorenz Patten lost the D0 podium, Wadz climbed from 13th to 10th in D1 and Jazzy rose from sixth to fourth in D4. D2 kept its finishing order, although TheMDog received a qualifying ban for Brazil.
| Division | What the original verdicts changed | Points transferred |
|---|---|---|
| D0 | Lorenz P3→P6; cloud, Karl, Forestal and Raptorr rise; Ussh P8→P9 | 10 |
| D1 | Wadz P13→P10; Gennaro, Forestal and TheMDog lose one place; Martins and Bulldogger swap | 3 |
| D2 | No change to the race classification | 0 |
| D3 | Jacko and J_Cøi33 gain one place each | 4 |
| D4 | Jazzy P6→P4; JD and L3on each fall one place | 4 |
Lorenz loses the podium, but Williams keep the title
Lorenz spent the final laps giving Demaiko room to protect his tyres and the victory. The verdict changed the cost of that team effort. Ten seconds for the contact which spun Raptorr sent Lorenz from third to sixth and took away eight championship points.
Cloud inherited the podium, Karl moved to fourth and Forestal to fifth. Raptorr also gained a place after Ussh's separate five-second penalty, making D0 the busiest classification rewrite of the weekend.
Demaiko remained the winner and Zopz remained second, so the front of the drivers' championship did not move. Karl's extra two points took him to 122, five behind piastrigoat and 18 behind Zopz before Brazil.
Williams' BOTT coronation survived too. Their lead after D0 fell from the provisional 531 points to 523, but Ferrari could recover no more than 440 across the remaining eight division races. The title had been safe by 91 points on the road; after the verdicts, it was safe by 83.
The D0 constructors' fight tightened. Williams and Ferrari began Abu Dhabi level on 178 points. Demaiko and Lorenz now leave the race with 41 points between them rather than 49, putting Williams on 219 and Ferrari on 187. The advantage is 32, not the 40 first carried away from Yas Marina.
Wadz and Jazzy turn removals into points
D1's winner, podium and champions stayed where they were. The movement began lower down, where the FIA removed the 10-second penalty Wadz received for passing a car which was not under control.
That correction lifted him from 13th to 10th and turned a zero into three points. Gennaro, Forestal and TheMDog each lost one point as they dropped a place. TheMDog's separate three-second penalty kept him behind Forestal, while Martins' three seconds moved him below Bulldogger without changing either driver's score.
Wadz's gain took Cadillac to 224 points in the D1 constructors' standings. Williams remained champions on 305; the gap fell from 84 to 81, still beyond the 55 available in Brazil.
Jazzy gained even more from the D4 review. The FIA removed his three-second warning after deciding that his clean rejoin had already cost him enough, turning sixth into fourth. He finished 0.579 seconds ahead of JD and 1.144 ahead of L3on once the warning was removed.
The four-point gain took Jazzy to 86 and moved him past WilierBread2885 for fifth in the drivers' standings. JD and L3on lost two points each, leaving Higosh's final title margin at 35 rather than the provisional 33.
D2 was the only division whose order did not change. TheMDog still left the verdict process with three penalty points and a qualifying ban for Brazil after the contact with Trident. Ferrari's constructors' equation remained three points for the title, but one of their Abu Dhabi podium finishers lost the session that sets the next grid.
The appeals change the bans, not the classifications
None of the three appeals changed a race time, finishing position or championship score. The 18-place rewrite survived intact; the disciplinary picture did not. Angelo was league-banned after Forestal challenged the first D1 ruling, while new footage cut PCPADDLEBOY's five-race ban to one. Karl's D0 appeal was dismissed.
| Appeal | Original decision | Final decision | Classification impact |
|---|---|---|---|
| D0: Karl on Zopz | No further action | Appeal unsuccessful; no further action remains | None |
| D1: Forestal on Angelo | Two penalty points for no POV in Incident 10 | League ban | None |
| D4: PCPADDLEBOY on geo2002 | 11 penalty points and five-race ban | Three penalty points and one-race ban | None |
Angelo's original verdict already included a five-race ban for intentionally causing a Safety Car. An earlier crash under Virtual Safety Car conditions had produced only two penalty points because the required POV was unavailable and the stewards said the first evidence set did not support a fuller finding.
Forestal appealed that decision. On review, the stewards treated the later Safety Car crash as evidence of intent in the earlier incident too. The appeal was upheld, the two-point decision was struck out and Angelo received a league ban. His Abu Dhabi result remained a DNF, but the consequence was no longer confined to the end of Season 7.
PCPADDLEBOY's appeal moved in the opposite direction. The original D4 verdict judged his contact with geo2002 to be intentional and imposed 11 penalty points with a five-race ban. New POV showed an unsafe rejoin instead, reducing the final sanction to three penalty points and one race.
His P10 and three championship points remained untouched. The difference arrives in Brazil: PCPADDLEBOY misses one race rather than five races stretching into next season.
Karl's appeal produced no change. The stewards kept the original no-further-action decision on his contact with Zopz, judging it a racing collision with a lag element and noting that Zopz had lifted. Karl therefore keeps fourth place and 16 points.
The classifications are final. Brazil starts without Angelo and PCPADDLEBOY, while TheMDog sits out D2 qualifying.
