WilierBread2885 gained nine places from P10 to win Silverstone's D4 race for Aston Martin, taking a first IMS victory on start number 60.

McBeth655 moved from P9 to second for Red Bull and team-mate Ceetee19 climbed from P11 to complete the podium in third.

Fifty-nine starts without a podium

WilierBread2885 had been present in every IMS season, representing Mercedes, McLaren, Williams, Alpine, VCARB, Red Bull and Aston Martin across seven divisions. Those 59 starts brought 229 points but not one podium.

The record began at Silverstone in Season 1 and returned there after seven seasons, seven teams and seven divisions. Sixty starts had now produced one win, one podium, one fastest lap and 259 points.

The 60th start refuses to be modest

The breakthrough did not merely end a winless run; it overturned the defining fact of the career. After 59 starts without any podium at all, WilierBread2885 skipped the lower steps and landed directly on P1.

A first podium would have been sufficient reward for the wait. WilierBread2885 instead came from P10 and took the win, turning the longest possible preamble into the loudest line on the page.
