Bigwoottz has changed his target from improving on fifth to winning again. Alfie has a first podium and a list of mistakes he thinks Barcelona will punish more severely.
Singapore gave Cadillac a winner from eleventh on the grid and Aston Martin a runner-up just 0.246 seconds behind. Our preseason forecast had expected Cadillac’s E3 cars to provide useful support and favoured Tullo and Ceetee for Red Bull. One round has produced a different leading team without that original pick being far away.
Woottz wants the first win to become a habit
Ten D4 starts had brought Woottz a best finish of fifth. Asked what had changed and what he wants next, the new winner put preparation and keeping the car clean ahead of any promise that the next circuit will reward him in the same way.
Consistency and practice leading up to the race, with during the race keeping clean and staying out of trouble and for Spain target is to win again but every race is different so need to try and do my best as Spain is a very different track to Singapore more overtaking spots but should be fun racing with Alfie and turnip
— bigwoottzAlfie’s second was also his first IMS podium. The narrow finishing gap left a tempting question about a win, but his answer gives rather less room for a missed opportunity than the stopwatch does.
There wasn't really a opportunity to get past woottz, my wing damage + the fact Singapore isnt a easy track to overtake at ment that I was looking for an overtake that was never available
— AlfieNerfBoySpain is a different test of the same preparation. Alfie is concerned that the errors he could contain around Singapore will leave him more exposed at Barcelona:
Theres lots of mistakes I need to look back on and change coming to Barcelona as if I make them again i wont have the same opportunity to stay ahead like I did around the tight streets of Singapore
— AlfieNerfBoyRed Bull’s pole has yet to become a podium
Tullo’s pole by 0.053 seconds over Alfie immediately supported the qualifying case behind our E3 prediction. His revised fifth and Ceetee’s fourth have kept Red Bull close, but neither car has yet matched the individual result of the two breakthrough drivers.
| Team | Singapore pairing | Revised E3 points |

Our forecast paired Tullo’s qualifying speed with a warning about the positions he had lost in races. Singapore reproduced that concern, and he points to two reasons for the drop from pole.
I wasn’t able to get the greatest start off the line and had some wheel spin, putting me on the back foot and losing positions into turn 1. Unfortunately my setup wasn’t the greatest in the race, felt a bit too draggy compared to the other cars around me. That being said, we look forward to Barcelona to have another good showing for RedBull Racing.
— Tullo_Formula1Both Red Bulls are currently entered alongside Woottz, Alfie and Turnip in Spain. Turnip was first on the road in Singapore before penalties left him third, giving the breakthrough pair another reason to expect a close contest. Tullo wants to make more of his partnership with Ceetee:
I think Ceetee and I are a very good match as in terms of teammates. Looking forward to Barcelona we just need to play more of the team game again, which is what made us have such a good showing this week.
