Lobby Rules and Serving Bans

Lobby Setup and Pre-Race Procedures

Purpose of these rules

The attendance, seating and ban-serving rules that apply before an IMS race begins.

Rule

2.1.6

Deliberately choosing the wrong team in the lobby is forbidden. If you are reserving, you will be told which seats are available and will then have a free choice between the available seats.

Standard penalty
5pp
Rule

2.1.7

Readying up before the host instructs you to is not allowed. If it leads to the lobby accidentally starting, you will be penalised.

Standard penalty
3pp
Rule

2.1.8

If you are not in lobby by the time qualifying is scheduled to start without a valid reason, your seat will be given to a reserve. Ideally, drivers should be in the lobby 15 minutes prior to the start time.

Rule

2.1.9

With 10 or less drivers, the race distance may be changed to 35%, or the race may be cancelled entirely.

Rule

2.2.0

If a driver does not show up for the race after checking in, they will be penalised.

Standard penalty
2pp
Rule

2.2.1

Teams are not allowed to swap drivers mid weekend. Once a driver enters a car in qualifying, they must complete the sprint and race, even if there is a lobby restart. If any team is observed to be in violation of this rule, both drivers who swapped will be punished.

Standard penalty
DSQ from all sessions
Rule

2.2.2

Drivers with a qualifying ban for a certain weekend must not compete in qualifying in any races they do in that weekend, if the driver does not participate in any races that week, their qualifying ban is carried over to the next week. A qualifying ban is considered served at the end of the weekend where the driver competed at least one race in which they did not qualify.

Rule

2.2.3

Drivers with a race ban for a certain weekend are not allowed

to race in any division for that weekend. The race ban will only be

considered served once the final race of the round has concluded.

Rule

2.2.4

The table below documents the procedure when/if a restart is needed and a new lobby must be made. The race distance completed will be based on the race leader at the time the admin-in-charge considers the issue to have happened. All incidents from pre-restart will be valid to report, and the time penalties and penalty points will apply to a driver’s post-restart race time with an early race end, the points remain the same. Track limits warnings do not carry over.

Note: For a lobby restart, a significant lobby glitch or incident must occur. 1-2 drivers binning it on their own will not constitute a restart.
