PerfectPaulie88 won the D2 leg of Season 1's Mystery Race at Singapore after starting third, taking his first IMS victory for Alpine. Jakebandy8 finished second and Ranga20063239 third.
The top three had started in the reverse competitive posture: Jake on pole, Ranga alongside him and PerfectPaulie on the second row. At the finish, the Alpine driver had gained two places while both title rivals had lost one.
Alpine's 25 points all carry one name
Alpine ranked third in the combined BOTT table with 25 points from four starts. The team registered one win, one podium and one top-five finish — each supplied by PerfectPaulie's victory.
McLaren led the round on 52 points and Mercedes followed on 36, so Alpine did not possess the deepest weekend. It possessed something neither tally can dilute: the D2 winner.
Jake retakes the lead by a single point
Second place lifted Jake to 59 championship points, one ahead of Ranga on 58. PerfectPaulie's win therefore landed between the two drivers' private argument and denied both the maximum score.
The calendar moved to Las Vegas with the D2 title margin at one point and a new winner in the archive. Alpine's Round 3 was not broad; it was beautifully specific.
