The pole-sitter splits the title's top two
TheMekanic's victory raised the Red Bull driver to 83 championship points. Somatic's third place moved Ferrari's contender into second on 49, leaving Thalo between them on the Las Vegas result sheet.
The 34-point title margin belonged to TheMekanic, but Thalo's day carried a cleaner personal milestone: first pole evidence in the supplied grid and a first podium in the archive, joined in one result.
Mercedes rises to second in the D1 teams' race
Mercedes left Round 4 second in the D1 constructors' standings on 70 points, 35 behind Red Bull. Thalo's podium supported the climb from third even as the leader extended away.
Silverstone was next. Las Vegas had not given Thalo the win from pole, but calling second place a failure would require ignoring the podium he had just reached for the first time.
