Season 2 opens with ten named Team Principals across the IMS team grid. The assignments apply from Round 1 at Silverstone, giving the longer 11-event campaign a leadership structure from its first weekend.

SmithBoys1083 leads Alpine, Z4yF1 takes Aston Martin, zoolander83 heads Ferrari, ELITE HEAT SHOW leads Haas and BULLDOGGER47 is responsible for Kick Sauber.

The other half of the grid

Webbah87 leads McLaren, kelenic 6233 takes Mercedes, TheMekanic17 heads Red Bull, uijyl leads VCARB and Trident65 is assigned to Williams.

The list covers every team once, with no vacancy and no duplicate assignment at the opening cutoff. That sounds administratively tidy because, on this particular day, it is.

The job begins before the grid expands

The first five rounds contain D1, D2, D3 and E1. Texas adds E2 at Round 6, so the same ten opening assignments must cover a competitive programme that becomes larger halfway through the season.

The calendar runs from Silverstone to Japan and expands to five divisions at Texas. The principals therefore inherit a season whose competitive footprint grows halfway through, a useful early reminder that managing the same team does not mean managing the same championship every week.
