Meowsy won Monza's D1 race from pole for Mercedes, while Darth Ussh advanced from fifth to second for Ferrari. That recovery carried Ussh to the championship lead after two rounds.
AlexCaruGOAT769 supplied the other major move in the top three, rising from sixth to third for Kick Sauber. The podium therefore paired one clean conversion with two drivers gaining three places apiece.
P2 is enough to change first place
Ussh left Monza on 44 points, five ahead of Marcel Papst. The new leader had not won the Italian race, which made the value of the recovery to second unmistakable.
Ferrari also moved ahead in the constructors' standings, leading VCARB 81-73. Ussh's P2 thus changed both D1 tables on the same weekend.
A champion's position without a winner's trophy
The distinction mattered heading to Singapore. Meowsy owned Monza; Ussh owned the two-round total. Those are related achievements, not interchangeable ones.
Monza produced different names for race winner and championship leader. D1's early order was still moving, and Ussh's measured climb through the classification captured that uncertainty neatly.
