Sammy278 claimed a first IMS victory from fourth on the Singapore D1 grid. Darth Ussh climbed from sixth to complete a Ferrari one-two, with UKTUS recovering from eighth to third for Alpine.
The result brought Ferrari's two drivers closer in the championship. Ussh remained first on 67 points, but Sammy's winning total moved to 57 and reduced the gap to ten.
Two recoveries, one internal contest
Sammy gained three places; Ussh gained four. Ferrari did not reach the one-two from a locked-out front row—it reached it by moving both cars forward from the second half of the top six.
That weight of scoring pushed Ferrari to 135 points in the D1 constructors' standings, 62 clear of VCARB. The team contest was stretching even as the fight between its two leading drivers tightened.
A first victory changes Sammy's role
Before Singapore, Sammy had points; afterwards, Sammy had the season's clearest evidence of winning pace. The championship leader was now a team-mate rather than a distant reference.
Ferrari left for Texas with the ideal team result and the inconvenient consequence of it: two drivers separated by only ten points, both now central to the D1 story.
