Jonno won Mexico's E1 race from second on the grid, beating pole-sitter Triske043. PolyTromp held third from P3 for Mercedes.
Sintium remained the championship leader on 98 points, but Triske's runner-up result moved the Haas driver to 76 and reduced the recorded gap to 22.
The winner sits outside the leading pair
Mexico's race order and championship order did not align. Jonno owned P1 on the day; Sintium and Triske remained the two names in the standings snapshot.
That made Triske's P2 more valuable than a generic runner-up result. By converting pole into a podium, the Haas driver kept pressure on a leader who did not appear in the recorded top three.
Twenty-two points keeps the contest alive
The gap was meaningful but recoverable with six rounds remaining. Silverstone would begin with Sintium still in control and Triske carrying the fresher podium.
Jonno's victory gave Mexico its winner; Triske's second place gave the season its next pressure point. The classification supported both readings without forcing them into the same headline.
