Concept_17 won Mexico's E2 race from third for Aston Martin, claiming a first IMS victory. Pole-sitter Rizla finished second for Mercedes and Schokolade climbed from sixth to third for Haas.
Rizla's runner-up result restored the championship lead on 94 points, 13 ahead of BBLDRiZZY6523. Mexico gave E2 a new race winner and a returning points leader.
Two milestones share one podium
Concept_17 gained two places to secure the personal landmark. Rizla lost one position but gained the larger-season reward, showing again that race order and championship consequence need not match.
Aston Martin also closed to within six points of VCARB in the constructors' standings, 119-113. Concept's victory therefore mattered beyond the individual breakthrough.
The first win pulls Aston Martin closer
Mexico compressed both E2 team and driver contests while adding a new winner. That combination made the result more than a standalone career note.
Silverstone would begin with Rizla back in front, Aston Martin close to the team lead and Concept_17 carrying the evidence of a victory from P3.
