Rizla finished third in the Abu Dhabi E2 race and left as the new championship leader on 167 points.

MagMagnussen converted pole into victory for Aston Martin, with HPJones advancing from P3 to second for McLaren.

Third place changes first place

Gennaro1173 is second in the standings on 161 points, six behind Rizla. The lead changes hands even though neither of the top two wins the race.

Rizla's move from P4 to P3 was the smallest gain on the podium, but it carried the largest cumulative consequence.

A third winner sits beneath a six-point fight

MagMagnussen owns the Abu Dhabi win; Rizla owns first place in the table; gennaro remains only six away. Three drivers leave with different reasons to matter.

The E2 title race has changed leader without simplifying. Abu Dhabi replaces the name at the top and leaves the margin small enough to reverse in one ordinary result.
