Kat arrived at the Brazil finale with everything to lose. That did not mean she intended to spend it trying not to lose.
With Martim and Walter ahead, she sent the Haas three-wide and came out in front of both. It was a double overtake made with the championship on the line—not because the title meant too little, but because racing still meant too much to turn the finale into a Sunday drive.
Kat commits between Martim and Walter, clears them both and keeps racing like the title mattered because the racing did.
Fourth place secured the D2 title on 190 points, 27 ahead of Walter9500 and 35 ahead of Webbah87. By finishing in front of both rivals, Kat spared everyone a final evening of countback, fastest-lap permutations and emergency arithmetic.
The race itself belonged to somebody else. TheMDog started 17th, won by 3.468 seconds and set the fastest lap, having already come from last to win D3 earlier in the day. Apparently the first back-to-front victory had only been the warm-up.

Kat refuses to coast to the finish line
Kat needed nine points to make Walter's result irrelevant. She took 15, but there was precious little in the way she collected them to suggest ninth place had ever been the plan.
Watching the fight unfold, piastrigoat supplied the verdict of the afternoon: Kat was “sending it 3 wide at one point with everything to lose”.
The frame at the top tells the story better than any photograph of Kat circulating alone could. She is on the right, Martim in the middle and Walter on the left, three cars spread across the Reta Oposta. A few moments later, both rivals were behind her.
That was not a champion forgetting what was at stake. It was a driver remembering why she wanted the title in the first place. Kat had not erased a 29-point post-Japan deficit by shrinking from fights, and the finale was not going to turn the winner in Texas, Monza and Abu Dhabi into an accountant.
She started fifth and finished fourth, 6.585 seconds behind the winner. The five cars from Kat in fourth to Webbah in eighth were covered by only 1.778 seconds, with Connor, Walter and Alfie wedged between the two title rivals.
When the congratulations arrived, Kat's own announcement was less complicated than the season behind it: “Yayyy I winnn🔥 🔥”.

TheMDog runs out of divisions to win from last
In D3, a qualifying ban had left TheMDog 16th; 13 laps later he was leading, and even a ten-second penalty could not stop him winning. D2 gave him one more car to pass and barely enough time to enjoy the first result.
From 17th he did it again, adding fastest lap for 31 points and completing a 61-point afternoon across the two divisions.

TheMDog's own concern had been more personal. After spending the build-up talking about beating Webbah, he admitted the worrying part was having to back it up. He did, then climbed to fourth in the final D2 standings despite making only five starts—an immaculate warning shot to the D1 faithful awaiting him next season.
Pooldiver finally reaches an IMS podium
After 31 IMS starts, Pooldiver finally has a podium. From 11th on the grid, the Audi driver finished second for the first top-three result of his career.
Martim completed the top three from seventh. None of the podium finishers had started inside the first three rows; together they gained 19 positions.
The late Safety Car packed the next group tightly enough to make the order look freshly shuffled. Connor finished fifth, only 0.057 seconds ahead of Walter. Alfie was another 0.228 behind, with Webbah 0.683 further back.
Thirteen of the 17 starters reached the finish. jazzy-draught9, Wadz51, WorseTurnip850 and beliber binned it.
Webbah gets pole, two Safety Cars and no miracle
Pole gave Webbah the first part of the miracle he needed. The rest required a perfect score from him and Kat somewhere deep in the lower points—or out altogether.
Two Safety Cars pulled that possibility apart. Webbah felt the first made victory harder and the second finished the job. Afterwards he wondered whether staying out might at least have saved a podium, although that alternative only looked attractive because the race had been neutralised again.
His late encounter with Martim added one more argument to the afternoon. Martim referred to Webbah locking up and moving across; Webbah said he had checked up for cars ahead. Martim apologised afterwards, but their explanations of the contact never quite met.
Webbah still congratulated Kat on a “great season”. When he listed the missed Abu Dhabi race alongside COTA, Austria and Brazil as the places the championship had escaped, Wadz supplied a less diplomatic edit: “It's literally just Abu.”
Abu Dhabi is the obvious what-if, but championships are not rerun around an empty grid slot. Across the final three rounds Kat outscored Webbah by 64 points, turning a 29-point deficit after Japan into a 35-point final advantage.
Ferrari finish the constructors' job with 42 points
TheMDog's victory settled more than his own afternoon. Walter added 11 points in sixth, taking Ferrari's haul to 42 and putting the D2 constructors' championship beyond Williams.
Williams collected 11 through Webbah and kyotonic. Ferrari therefore finish on 373 points, 84 clear of the team that had come within six of them after Monza.
Ferrari leave Brazil with the constructors' trophy, and TheMDog with two wins in one day. Kat takes the bigger prize: the championship that had looked like Webbah's after Japan, and a photograph that explains the way she went after it.
