Aston Martin’s signing of Seen has ended after his licence review moved him from L3 to L2, automatically terminating his new contract. Hotshot is now back alongside Freed in D3, leaving Quenooo looking for an E3 partner for Alfie.
Seen, racing as TTVSentbygod, had accepted Aston’s D3 seat for round three. His licence was changed on 21 October with “Actual performance” given as the reason, and the contract then ended because the new licence did not match the seat.
The change followed a public argument about the original placement. JD had challenged the L3 rating, saying “ive raced him so much there is no way he is l3”, and urged that Seen race in D2 before D3. Quenooo’s position was that the signing should get its chance: “i am fine with him getting moved one round in if he's too fast”. However, that is not how things work in IMS, once a driver is placed and does a race, there are no manual moves, only system and data driven reassignments. No system is perfect, as the initial assignment showed, but getting a driver in and trying to wedge them into a specific division is always going to be a high-risk strategy for any TP.
Hotshot returns to D3, moving the vacancy to E3
Aston have returned Hotshot from E3 to D3 for round three, restoring the pairing alongside Freed. The owner correction reverses the earlier move that had put him with Alfie. Seen’s departure has therefore changed where Aston need their next signing: the vacancy is now in E3.
The seat needs to contribute to more than a tidy line-up. Alfie has thirty-two E3 points, while Aston sit second in BOTT on 258, twenty-one behind Williams. Another scoring E3 car would give that pursuit more venom.
Quenooo’s original reshuffle put Seen alongside Freed and Hotshot with Alfie. D3 now has its pairing again. The recruitment job sits one division lower.
