Elias6077 converted Canada D1 pole into a first IMS victory for Aston Martin. Piastrigoat finished second from second and II M4IK II completed the podium from fifth.
The win paid 40 points and moved Elias from outside the previous supplied top two into second place in the championship. Piastrigoat still scored 35 and remained first.
A new winner meets an established 27-point gap
Piastrigoat left Canada on 67 points, with Elias second on 40. The result inserted the Aston Martin driver into the chase without allowing the race victory to become the championship lead.
That distinction gives the 40-point debut its proper weight. Elias won the meeting; piastrigoat won the right to carry 27 points of protection into Hungary.
Aston Martin finishes second in the BOTT round
Aston Martin scored 117 points from six starts, with one win, two podiums and three top-five finishes. It ranked second behind Ferrari's 154 and ten ahead of McLaren.
Hungary followed with Elias established as both winner and nearest supplied challenger. Canada had made the introduction emphatic; the 27-point gap kept the next question grounded.
