TheIceman729 won the Portugal E1 race from pole and took 21 points out of Darth Ussh's championship advantage. Arsenalboyz101 finished second from third on the grid and also reduced the leader's cushion, by 13 points.

Ussh completed the podium in third after starting second. The three leading championship-relevant results therefore arrived in order of maximum pressure: the nearest listed challenger won, another rival finished second and the leader took the smallest podium score.

A 39-point lead becomes 20

Ussh had led the listed runner-up by 39 points after Hungary. Portugal left him first on 136 and TheIceman second on 116, reducing that visible margin to 20.

Arsenalboyz's second place did not put him in the supplied top two, but its championship effect was still measurable. He outscored Ussh by 13 on the same afternoon that TheIceman made the larger gain.

Ferrari keeps the constructors' benefit

The internal points swing did not weaken Ferrari in the E1 constructors' contest. The team left Portugal on 225 points, 32 ahead of Red Bull on 193, after placing both drivers on the podium.

Texas came next with Ussh still leading but no longer protected by almost a full race win. Portugal had converted a broad advantage into a 20-point contest and given two pursuers evidence that the gap could move.
