Piastrigoat took the Season 3 D1 championship lead by finishing second in Qatar. Meowsy won from pole for Williams, while the Ferrari driver advanced from P3 and scored 24 points.

The result put piastrigoat on 49 points, eight ahead of TheMekanic17 on 41. TheMekanic also moved forward in Qatar, climbing from P5 to third and taking 20 points.

The race winner and the championship leader diverge

Meowsy’s 31-point maximum was Qatar’s immediate prize. Piastrigoat’s 24 mattered differently: added to the opening round, it was enough to lift a driver who had yet to win in Season 3 to the top of the cumulative order.

The podium compressed three competitive facts into one line. Meowsy held P1 from the grid, piastrigoat gained one place, and TheMekanic gained two. The table rewarded the Ferrari driver’s two-round total rather than this race alone.

Consistency writes the second-round headline

There was no title arithmetic to perform in April and no reason to pretend there was. The meaningful change was smaller and cleaner: the D1 lead had changed hands, and an eight-point gap now separated the first two names.

Qatar belonged to Meowsy on the results page and to piastrigoat in the standings. That split is precisely why championship reporting cannot stop at the winner’s name.
