TheMekanic17 won Bahrain’s D1 race from pole and took the championship lead after three rounds. The Red Bull driver scored 31 points and moved from second to first in the cumulative order.
TheMekanic left on 72 points, 15 ahead of LKR Gerardo6 on 57. Darth Ussh finished second from P4 and Rochamoya completed the podium from P2.
The straightest route produces the largest reward
The winner’s line was P1 to P1. Behind, Ussh gained two places and Rochamoya lost one. Bahrain paired control at the front with enough movement behind to alter the distribution of points without changing who collected the maximum.
Mercedes still led the constructors on 109 points, 17 ahead of Red Bull. TheMekanic’s personal lead therefore arrived before his team had completed the same move in the D1 table.
First among drivers, second among teams
That split gives the result its substance. The driver championship now had a 15-point Red Bull advantage; the constructor championship still had a 17-point Mercedes advantage. The same race pushed those contests in different directions.
Bahrain did not merely add TheMekanic’s name to the winners’ list. It made the pole conversion the weekend on which the Season 3 D1 chase acquired a new leader and its first double-digit gap.
