TheJoshW1 finished second from P2 in Austria, securing a first IMS podium and moving to the top of the D1 standings on 30 points. Websey, the Australian winner, sat three points behind after Round 2.

Darth Ussh won from P4 for Ferrari and TheMekanic17 climbed from fifth to third for McLaren. The podium placed three teams inside the top three and left the championship leader driving for the only one of them that did not win.

Consistency beats one perfect Sunday

TheJoshW1 did not need the Austrian victory to lead the table. Thirty points across the opening two rounds were enough because Websey remained on 27, making the first D1 change at the top a product of accumulation rather than a single maximum score.

That is what gave the maiden podium extra force. P2 was already a career first; attached to the points table, it became the result that placed a new name above the field.

Driver and constructor tables split

Haas did not lead the constructors. Ferrari moved first there on 48 points, four ahead of Red Bull. Austria therefore sent different badges to the top of D1's two championships: Haas with the driver, Ferrari with the team.

Hungary was next, and a three-point advantage promised no comfort. TheJoshW1 nevertheless arrived there with something no one could retroactively dilute: a first podium and the championship lead earned on the same classification.
