Darth Ussh climbed from P4 to win Austria's D1 race, and Ferrari left Round 2 leading the constructors' standings on 48 points. Red Bull followed on 44, four points behind.
The change came one round after Red Bull had opened a 24-point advantage over Aston Martin. Austria did not merely add a Ferrari victory; it placed a different team at the top of D1.
Four points, not a coronation
Ferrari's lead was narrow enough to resist grand conclusions. Forty-eight against 44 described a championship pivot, not separation, with Hungary due next and the first two D1 races won by different teams.
The individual table added another wrinkle. TheJoshW1 led the drivers despite finishing second to Ussh, so Ferrari's constructor takeover arrived without a Ferrari driver taking the parallel championship lead.
One classification, two leaders
That split made Austria more useful than a simple win report. Haas held the leading driver through TheJoshW1; Ferrari held the leading constructor through its accumulated return and Ussh's victory.
Ferrari therefore carried a precise mandate to Hungary: defend four points in the team contest while chasing a driver who wore different colours. Season 4's D1 race had already divided its power.
