CONNOROCE charges from P6 to a first IMS win in Bahrain

CONNOROCE won Bahrain’s E2 race from P6 and claimed a first IMS victory. The five-place gain delivered 30 points for VCARB.

Quenooo29 finished second from pole and retained the championship lead on 57 points. CONNOROCE’s win lifted the VCARB driver five championship places to second on 54.

Five places gained on the road and in the table

The symmetry is unusually neat. P6 became P1 in the race; seventh became second in the standings. One refers to grid movement and the other to cumulative order, but each movement measured five places.

MilitaryMaple18 completed the podium from P5 for Red Bull. The classification therefore placed three teams in the top three and denied the winner the extra team leverage of a one-two.

A first win makes the E2 gap three

The result did not make CONNOROCE the championship leader. It made the contest markedly tighter: three points separated quenooo and the Bahrain winner after a round that had begun with the latter seventh in the order.

First victory, five-place recovery, five-place championship climb, three-point deficit. Bahrain gave CONNOROCE four useful numbers and not one of them requires an invented overtake to explain why the story matters.
