Bahrain's E2 podium was not built solely at the front of the grid. Rizla climbed from sixth to second and BBLDRiZZY6523 rose from seventh to third, gaining eight places between them.
Ahead, LimitlessDraco3 converted a P2 start into victory for Red Bull. The winner made the smallest positional gain of the three podium finishers; the two drivers behind supplied the larger journeys.
The podium rewards three teams
Red Bull, Mercedes and VCARB each placed one driver in the top three. That distribution prevented any team from owning the podium, even though Red Bull emerged with a narrow constructors' lead.
The lead was only two points: Red Bull on 42, VCARB on 40. BBLDRiZZY6523's four-place gain therefore carried immediate team value as well as an individual trophy.
Movement becomes the opener's motif
None of the eventual top three finished where they started. The combined gain was nine positions: one for LimitlessDraco3 and four each for Rizla and BBLDRiZZY6523.
That spread gave Monza a properly open E2 picture. The race winner, points leader and second-placed constructor were represented by three different teams, with only two championship points separating the leading drivers and teams alike.
