VCARB led the Japan BOTT round on 183 points and moved to first in the cumulative standings.

The score came from 12 starts, two wins, four podiums and seven top-five finishes. McLaren followed on 161 and Ferrari on 132 for the weekend.

The round result becomes a 50-point lead

VCARB leaves Japan on 1,336 points, 50 ahead of Ferrari on 1,286. McLaren is third on 1,272, another 14 points back.

Only 64 points cover the top three, but the shape has changed: VCARB now owns both the latest round victory and the season lead.

Seven top fives support two wins

The two victories provided the sharp edge; five additional top-five finishes supplied the width. VCARB's result was neither a single-driver spike nor depth without conversion.

Japan gives VCARB the most complete kind of team weekend: first in the round, first in the standings and a 50-point cushion over the team that entered as leader.
