The result moved McLaren into the D1 constructors' lead. Cloud also rose to second in the drivers' standings on 32, ten behind Jonno after Round 2.
The front three do not move
Texas D1 was defined by conversion rather than recovery at the front. Cloud, Meowsy and Triske each finished where they started, making pole position the decisive recorded advantage without requiring an invented race chronology.
That stability gives the breakthrough a clean shape. Cloud did not need a spectacular grid delta to create a new milestone; P1 became P1 and the maximum finish supplied both a first win and the team points behind a standings change.
Individual and constructor gains separate
Cloud's win did not produce the drivers' lead because Jonno retained 42 points. It did produce McLaren's constructor lead, showing how the same result can leave one table second and move another to first.
Texas therefore belongs to a precise double consequence: Cloud reached the IMS top step for the first time, and McLaren reached the top of the D1 teams' standings while the driver remained ten points from first.
