Jak75421 converted D3 pole into victory in Texas and moved to 61 points at the head of the championship.
Vhunt3r held second from the front row for McLaren, while atmjosh15 climbed from P6 to take third and a first IMS podium for Haas.
The front row fixes the top two
The leading pair finished where they started. Jak's pole conversion denied vhunt3r any reduction in the gap generated by the difference between first and second.
Vhunt3r is second in the standings on 38 points, 23 behind Jak. Texas therefore moves the championship beyond a single race score of separation.
Atmjosh15 supplies the movement
Third place carried the podium's only major recovery. Atmjosh15 gained three positions from the third row to turn P6 into a first appearance in the IMS top three.
The D3 picture after Texas is split cleanly: a pole winner building space, a second-place rival holding station and a new podium finisher arriving from deeper on the grid.
