Zak Styler won the Great Britain D0 race from sixth on the grid, claiming a first IMS victory for Williams.
Cloud finished second from P3 and Will Gibson took third from P2, the latter earning a first IMS podium. Zak's five-place gain supplied the largest movement among the recorded top three.
Williams takes the win; Mercedes strengthens the table
Cloud's 23 points moved the D0 championship total to 67, 22 ahead of Karl Verghese. The lead had been 14 entering the round, so second place increased the cushion despite missing the victory.
Mercedes also remained first in the D0 constructors on 90 points, 13 ahead of Aston Martin. Great Britain therefore gave Williams the race headline and Mercedes the more comfortable cumulative position.
Two firsts in one top three
Zak's first win and Will Gibson's first podium arrived in the same classification. One came through a five-place gain to P1; the other converted P2 on the grid into P3 at the finish.
The result belongs to Zak, the championship advantage to cloud and the debut podium to Will Gibson. D0 left Great Britain with three fresh perspectives and no excuse for publishing the same paragraph three times.
