Karl Verghese took a first IMS victory in Austria D0, moving from third on the grid to first for Aston Martin.

Raptorr finished second from P4, while Alex Očenáš climbed from fifth to third for a first IMS podium. Every member of the recorded top three gained two positions.

Aston Martin turns one win into a 49-point round

The D0 pairing put Aston Martin on 49 constructors' points for the round and season, 18 behind Mercedes. The team had entered the weekend seventh in that table and left second.

Across all five divisions, Aston Martin scored 115 BOTT points from eight starts, with one win, three podiums and four top-five finishes. Only Williams scored more in Austria.

Cloud keeps the D0 lead despite the breakthrough

Cloud remained first in the D0 drivers' standings on 44 points. Karl's 30 moved him to second, 14 behind after two rounds.

Karl left with the first win, Alex with the first podium and Aston Martin with a five-place constructors' jump. One D0 result supplied three different milestones; recycling one sentence would have been a waste of all of them.
